The graphics of Harry Potter
One of the joys of the Harry Potter films (an occasional guilty Design Week pleasure) is the graphic world created for the series by consultancy MinaLima.
Through details such as posters, newspapers, books and labels, the consultancy created a fantasy-based yet somehow credible aesthetic for the films.
Vintage-style designs include the Daily Prophet newspaper and Quidditch World Cup posters, as well as packaging for merchandise such as the Electric Shock Shake (available from Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes).
All were designed on the Harry Potter film set, at Leavesden Film Studios, Hertfordshire.
Now MinaLima has brought its Potter work together to create a selection of fine art prints, hand-signed and limited to editions of 250 each, starting at £49.
The Harry Potter prints are available from www.theprintorium.com.
