Check out some new illustration, investigate some art and start preparing for Christmas…
Event: London Illustration Fair
What: The London Illustration Fair will showcase the work of 50 emerging illustrators chosen by a panel of judges. You can see some of their work here. The event will also feature pop-up shops, installations, murals and classes.
When: 4-6 December

Art Competition: The Turner Prize
What: The winner of the 2015 Turner Prize is set to be announced. On the shortlist are Bonnie Camplin, Janice Kerbel, Nicole Wermers and architecture practice Assemble. An exhibition of their work is being held in Glasgow, with branding by Tangent Graphic.
When: 7 December.
Where: An exhibition of the shortlisted artists’ work is being held at the Tramway in Glasgow. The announcement will also be broadcast on Channel 4.

Festival: Design Miami
What: This year’s Design Miami festival features talks from the likes of Yves Béhar and Mohsen Mostafavi as well as installations from Airbnb, Swarovski and Audi. There is also the Design Curio programme, which invites designers, curators, innovators and gallerists to present “cabinets of curiosity” throughout the fair.
When: 2-6 December

Shopping: Cockpit Arts Open Studios
What: The Cockpit Arts Open Studios event will be held across two sites – Holborn from 26-29 November and Deptford from 3-6 December. As well as taking a look into studios, you’ll also be able to buy work directly from more than 170 designer-makers.

Festive fun: Christmas shopping displays
What: The major retailers are already rolling out their festive window displays. with Topman enlisting Projection Artworks to develop and Arctic theme and the likes of Liberty and Harrods creating their own works in-house.
