UK consultancies bag Pentawards

UK consultancies Cowan and Stocks Taylor Benson have each picked up a platinum Pentaward in the international packaging design awards scheme.

Cowan won for its packaging for Panda Liquorice, while Stocks Taylor Benson picked up the award for its Morrisons Laundry Care packaging.

Turner Duckworth won two gold awards, with R2H (UK), Design Bridge, Brandhouse, Stranger and Stranger, Elmwood, Coley Porter Bell and Webb deVlaam picking up two each.

Pearlfisher, Elmwood, B&B Studio, Design Bridge and Lewis Moberly all won silver awards, while Design Bridge also picked up two bronze awards, as did P&W and Lewis Moberly, with other bronzes going to Elmwood, Here Design, SMR Creative, Family and Friends, Turner Duckworth, Pearlfisher, Burgopak, and The Brand Union.

Swedish consultancy Nine’s design for mineral water brand Ramlösa picked up the best of show diamond Pentaward.

This year’s Pentawards had nearly 1000 entries from 51 countries, with awards co-founder Brigitte Evrard saying, ‘This year, packaging created in the UK held a particular appeal for the international jury.’

All the prize-winning designs will be displayed at an exhibition in Paris from January 2012.
