Natasha Law - Dust in Their Eyes

Green Down

Green Down

Designer and illustrator Natasha Law has turned her hand to many things -  designing bikes; judging crockery designs for Zizzi’s restaurants; creating festive shopfronts for department stores and working with clients including Vogue, Harrods and Mulberry.

A new exhibition at London’ Eleven Gallery entitled Dust in Their Eyes will be opening in  June, showing Law’s most iconic works - the highly recognisable, bold images of scantily clad women.

The erotic overtones of her work are clear, adding to the playful feel of the graphic lines and easy intimacy of the images.

These new works all share a sense of movement, with each of the subjects seeming caught in the middle of whatever they’re doing - getting dressed, smoking, blowing bubble gum.

Law created the pieces using layering techniques - such as on Pink, Down; where she left slivers of the aluminium sheet exposed to reveal the raw surface and demonstrate layers of built up paint.

The clean lines and glossy finish are created using household gloss paint, creating a liquid-like finish to the voyeuristic vignettes.

Dust in Their Eyes runs from 22 June - 18 August at Eleven, 11 Eccleston Street, London SW1W
