A&B Studio unveils Ravensbourne 3D conference graphics

A&B Studio has created the identity, wayfinding and an app for Ravensbourne’s 3D Storytelling conference, which begins tomorrow.

3DS is part of the university’s Commercialising Digital Technology programme and aims to help participants create stereoscopic content.

A&B Studio was appointed to create the original CDT identity in 2009, and was then approached to create a logo for 3DS.

The logo mimics a 3D structure to echo the theme of the conference and the idea that the CDT conferences are incubation spaces that participants can fill.

The consultancy created a 3D ’welcome block’ (pictured), which incorporates both the CDT and 3DS logo shapes. This sculptural shape has been used in different colours and crops on signage, wayfinding, the conference website and the app.

A&B Studio creative partner Benji Wiedemann says, ’Graphic designers respond to clever wit and visual puns but broadcasters don’t, so we wanted something visually stimulating and bold.’
