Alienation Digital overhauls Bath University websites
Bath University has turned to Alienation Digital to overhaul its portfolio of websites following a tender involving more than 80 consultancies.
Appointed on the basis of credentials and a creative proposal, Alienation is now redesigning 20 departmental websites to visual guidelines created in-house by the university.
Targeting prospective students as well as showcasing business services and research facilities, each departmental site will have a ‘distinctive design’, but offer a visual consistency instructed by the university home page, also designed in-house.
The consultancy says it will have to consider how to create a sense of national and international appeal through the new designs.
Development work began in February and the consultancy is now working with university departments, designers and developers.
Roll-out is expected from April, starting with the humanities department.
