It appears photographer Todd McLellan has way too much time on in his hands. However, photographs of exploding mantelpiece clocks and meticulously dissected telephones are actually fascinating. The attention to detail is extraordinary and displays how motion can be captured in a still image.

John Lloyd, founder of Lloyd Northover, shares his favourite logos after contributing to Creative Review’s April issue that flags up the Top 20 logos of all time. Lloyd was one of 20 identity designers asked to nominate five logos. Three of his made the list: Pirelli, Canadian National and Woolmark, which clinched the number one spot.

Twenty-one years ago, Print magazine hosted in its New York offices a debate between two of design’s biggest names, Joe Duffy and Tibor Kalman. Imprint has decided to re-run the conversation a generation later, with added thoughts from Steven Heller and Print’s editor at the time Martin Fox.
