Channel 4 creatives lead the way at Promax awards

Channel 4’s in-house design team 4 Creative scooped more trophies than anyone else at this year’s Promax UK awards ceremony.

The 4 Creative team picked up 18 golds and 13 silvers for its work this year, more than industry giant Red Bee Media. 4 Creative went through a radical restructure last year that resulted in 15 redundancies, and saw the departure of head of 4 Creative Richard Burdett.

Among 4 Creative’s haul of trophies was Best Design Award for its work on Despatches: Lost in Care.

Red Bee Media walked away with eight gold and 15 silver awards for its promos for BBC and UKTV programmes.

The award for best on-air branding went to Devilfish for its work on the Discovery channel Discovery Science.

Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication student Phil Feeney picked up the student award.

The awards were handed out at a ceremony in London on Friday evening, hosted by comedian Jo Brand.
