Citroën launches roof and dashboard design competition

Citroën has launched a competition to redesign the roof and dashboard of the DS3 model, the winner of which will have their design put into production next year.

Designs will be judged on their ability to propose original and innovative ideas that comply with the technical and functional specifications of the DS3, which can be found at

The emphasis on original styling follows Citroën’s anti-retro design concept, which was launched earlier this year.

The entries, which must be received before 4 July, will be judged by an international panel of ten design and luxury sector experts. The jury will include Citroën director of style Thierry Metroz and senior representatives from GQ France, the Cartier Foundation and Louis Vuitton.

The top three designs will be awarded cash prizes and the designers will have their work shown at an international Citroën exhibition in Paris to mark the beginning of the Paris Motor Show in October.

The limited-edition DS3 collection, which will feature the winning design, will be available from 2011.
