Creative & Cultural Skills launches Business Survival Toolkit

Creative & Cultural Skills has launched an online Business Survival Toolkit, which it says aims to ‘help people in the creative industries survive and prosper during the hard times ahead’.

The toolkit – at www.business-survival-toolkit.co.uk – provides a self-evaluation kit for businesses, as well as advice on developing business strategy.

The initiative is a partnership project with the Cultural Leadership Programme, the Crafts Council, the Design Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Creative & Cultural Skills says the launch of the toolkit is ‘very timely’ in light of tax changes brought in in the new financial year and the reduced funding recently announced by the Arts Council.

Catherine Large, joint chief executive of Creative & Cultural Skills, says, ‘We are committed to ensuring that people in the creative and cultural industries have the practical skills and know-how to keep going and progress during these times of economic uncertainty and change.’
