Creativitea creates Natterjacks website

Surrey-based design consultancy Creativitea has created a website for online urban fashion retailer Natterjacks.

Creativitea was appointed to the project in October 2009 after a credentials-led pitch. The online store had originally been designed by Creativitea creative director Richard Barwick four years ago, but was beginning to look dated, says Barwick.

He explains, ‘Web design had moved on, but Natterjacks was happy with the old site as it was still doing good business. Then the owner realised how much it could increase sales with a strong website.’

The site’s design focuses on usability, as well as providing customers with a flexible shopping experience by allowing them to choose from several colour and background image options.

Barwick says, ‘When you get up in the morning and it’s warm and sunny, you think “I’m going to wear bright clothes today”. We wanted the design to have that kind of flexibility.’

The new site will provide improved search functions and information on the most popular brands, and will promote the company’s blog and presence on social networking sites. The stock control for Natterjacks’ three south London shops will also be managed using the site.

The site will launch on 12 April at www.natterjacks.com.
