Dalziel & Pow opens office in Mumbai

Dalziel & Pow has set up an office in India which the consultancy says will grow ‘organically’ in the same way the China office has.

The Mumbai office is Dalziel & Pow’s second international outpost, following the opening of a Shanghai office in 2008.

The consultancy has been working with Indian clients for the past three years, including Future Group, Mahindra Retail and Globus, and is currently in talks with new clients in the region.

The Mumbai office is not a design studio, but will manage and direct local requirements, with strategic and creative input continuing to be developed in London.

Glyn Phillips, who joined Dalziel & Pow earlier this year, will be heading up the Indian office as regional director and be based in Mumbai. Group director Keith Ware, who has headed up all Indian projects from the UK, is supporting Phillips in setting up the office and will remain UK-based but travel frequently to India.

Dalziel & Pow marketing director David Wright says, ‘There’s such pent-up demand for UK design in the retail sector in [China and India] with the growth of the consumer class, so there’s a need for representation.’
