Designer gifts market at Somerset House
Somerset House in London will host a Christmas designer gifts market this weekend, with items for sale by Michael Marriott, Sebastian Bergne and William Warren, among others.
Students from the Royal College of Art will also be offering products for sale at the Super Christmas Market. Their selection includes the board game Battleships rendered in chocolate (pictured), created by Robert Maslin.
Other products will include David Weatherhead’s perpetual calendar, Bergne’s emergency cufflinks and ‘inside out’ T-shirt, Nina Tolstrup’s tealight holders and tableware by Tim Parsons.
Somerset House claims that many items have been made exclusively for the market, and that most will be on sale for less than £10.
Lady Luck Rules OK will be running its ‘speed crafting’ workshop during the fair, supplying materials and advice to visitors to help them make their own Christmas gifts.
Super Christmas Market opens on 18 December at 6pm and runs until the evening of 22 December.
