Four IV works on Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong

Interiors group Four IV has been appointed to work on a new Harvey Nichols flagship store at Pacific Place shopping centre in Hong Kong.

The consultancy was appointed last month following a three-way pitch involving one international consultancy and one other from the UK.

Four IV has previously created luxury stores for the company in Edinburgh, Manchester, Istanbul, Ankara, and recently won a pitch for Harvey Nichols in Kuwait.

A spokesman for Four IV, says the consultancy won the pitch due to its experience of working with Harvey Nichols and its understanding of the international luxury market.

The work will involve designing the interiors for the 7711m2 store, and all the point-of-sale graphics including free-standing equipment and a completely new fascia.

The spokesman says, ‘The brief was to create a “wow” in the shopping centre for the brand, and to ensure that the store reflects not only the international nature of Harvey Nichols, but also the local culture.’

Work will begin on the project in about six months’ time, and is due to be completed in October 2011. Chris Dewar-Dixon, founder and creative director at Four IV, will be leading the project creatively.
