GR/DD works on Science Museum interactives

GR/DD is working on a set of interactives for the new Climate Science gallery at London’s Science Museum, which is set to open later this year.

The consultancy was appointed to the work about three weeks ago following a tender process that culminated in a three-way pitch, according to GR/DD director James Bowden.

Bowden says the consultancy is creating three interactive installations for the Casson Mann-designed exhibition space, set to open in October.

The installations will look at the greenhouse effect, climate change and the climate cycle.

The climate cycle interactive will be the first time GR/DD has used augmented reality in a client project, according to Bowden.

He says, ‘With all the interactives we were asked to distil the scientific content to appeal to the broad audience the Science Museum has.’
