Leo Porto, a designer at New York agency Collins, has worked with Felipe Rocha on the branding and orchestration of Bonde, a new Brazilian design conference launching next month in New York. The designs use a simple typography led approach and a yellow and black colour palette. The Maar Sans typeface by foundry Commercial Type is used throughout the website copy, against a backdrop of yellow that gradually fades to white as the user scrolls down the homepage. The site was developed by Daniel Coronel.

The one-day event takes place on 22 July at the Genius Event Space in Brooklyn. Speakers include UK Pentagram partner Marina Willer, Brazilian artist Jonathas de Andrade, designer and researcher  Nina Paim and street artists Rimon Guimarães and Zeh Palito; and there will also be art installations and a shop selling Brazilian independent publications.
