Branding for Shakespeare’s Globe production of Othello, by Premm Design
Premm Design has designed the core marketing image for the Playing Shakespeare production, the 2015 flagship education project for the Globe Theatre. The brief was to create a First World War-styled visual for the production of Othello which would engage a young audience “and help them enjoy this classic tale of jealousy and betrayal,” according to Premm Design associate director Kevin McDermott. The identity was applied to the programme, posters, flags, advertising and the theatre’s external walls where a brick wrap technique was used to show silhouettes of soldiers ascending the steps.
