Startup company Buzzbike has commissioned a group of London artists to design a unique bicycle pattern, in celebration of its launch.

The crowdfunded project is a free cycling scheme, which invites brands to sponsor a single speed Cooper bike.

The ownership model has been unveiled at London’s Design Museum, and includes four specially designed bicycles to illustrate the “creative possibilities” of the project.

Bicycles will be given away for free to individuals after being painted so that they carry different brand campaigns. The artist examples show what is possible.

One example by French artist Jean Jullien, features a miniature bike graphic on a salmon pink background.

Other designs include bright pink and white lightening graphics by Eley Kishimoto, and a sleek, gold and red bicycle with original branding by About Smithtown.

Another Buzzbike, designed by digital art collective Universal Everything, displays jagged linear lines with a navy blue, green and white detailing.
