Cambridge Core identity, by Branch

Cambridge-Open-Logo-Pattern-01

Branch has designed the identity for Cambridge Open, Cambridge University Press’ peer reviewed open access content publisher.

Following on from its work on the Cambridge Core and Cambridge Elements identities, Branch has adopted a colour palette that is used within the University of Cambirdge’s guidelines, and has used LL Brown as the lead typeface.

The logo takes the symbol used to represent copyright and inverts it, putting the “o” inside the “c”. This is designed to be a visual metaphor for open access publishing, as the content is free to use, recite and republish.
