Culturescape, by Alexandra Plesner

London-based artist Alexandra Plesner has created a new installation to mark a ruling in Taiwan allowing same-sex marriage.

Culturescape comprises 180 ice cream cones mounted on a white foam board. Plesner has hand painted the cones in an array of nine different rainbow colours.

One cone has also been painted gold to represent “the one that got away”.

Culturescape is currently on display at the ice cream parlour owned by Plesner’s family in Tirol, Austria.
