Dough Universe, by Technology Will Save Us

London-based studio Technology Will Save Us has launched a crowdfunding campaign for a new interactive learning kit for kids made out of conductive play dough.

The product is comprised of three individual kits that aim to help children learn about STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) principles, and the “fundamentals of electricity through light, movement and sound”.

Squishy Sounds allows kids to build keyboards, drums and pianos and learn about how electricity creates sound, Bright Creatures lights up their creations with LEDs and buzzers, and Electro Machines teaches them about mechanics by showing them how to make everything from dough cars to flying dough helicopters.

The studio has launched an app to accompany Dough Universe, which takes the user through a series of stories and challenges to guide play and show them how electricity works.

The crowdfunding campaign runs until 5 July.
