Visual art duo Pencil & Help has designed an artwork on the East London Canvas, a stretch of hoardings between Westfield shopping centre and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London.

The designs are based on the drawings of a group of Year Five students from two local schools, and are inspired by local poet Aisling Fahey’s poem, ‘Safety Training. Golden Rules.’

The children illustrated different sections of the poem using cut paper and collaged text, with Pencil & Help then selecting a range of the imagery and text to design the artwork.
