Filario Hotel and Residences for Design Hotels, by Alessandro Agrati

Design Hotels has worked with Italian designer Alessandro Agrati on the interiors of Filario Hotel and Residences, which has opened on the shores of Lake Como in Northern Italy. It is a member of Design Hotels but is independently owned. Agrati has looked to use materials and textiles that give a feel of strength and light while introducing “strong-tempered” objects to the space. Raw natural fabrics have been sourced locally, including linen curtains and Frette bed linens. Local craftsmen from nearby town Cantù – known for high end Italian design – have created bespoke pieces which furnish the hotel.
