Fortnum & Mason limited edition honey packaging, by Design Bridge


Design Bridge has designed the packaging for a special edition honey from Fortnum & Mason to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

There are 1,500 limited edition jars, which all have a gold, resin seal that aims to mimic a traditional beeswax seal, says Design Bridge design director Chloe Templeman.

The seal includes an embossed illustration of Fortnum & Mason’s honeybee logo, used on the company’s other honey products, alongside a re-drawn version of the Queen’s coronation crown.

Text has been incorporated in gold ink on cream paper, which aim to be “warm colours that complement the hue of the honey”, says Templeman.

The jars have also been hand-labelled by Fortnum & Mason’s beekeeper, with an individual batch, unit number and signature on each one.
