The annual Jerwood Makers Open exhibition has returned for its sixth edition, displaying work from five emerging artists working with a variety of materials including wood and organic waste.

The five selected artists were chosen from 271 applications in late 2016, and were awarded £7,500 each to develop their projects.

Selected artists include Juli Bolaños-Durman, who has created a light-based wall installation made of recycled glass and product designer Marcin Rusak, who looks to play with the “processes of destruction, renewal and reconstruction” with his installation of perishable abstract objects.

Other artists include Sam Bakewell, Jessica Harrison and Laura Youngson Coll.

Their works will be on display at Jerwood Space in London until 17 August 2017, before going on tour nationally.
