The Line artworks, by Michael Craig-Martin

London art walk The Line, which was started through a crowdfunding campaign and opened to the public last May, is looking to expand and has launched another crowdfunding initiative to do so. The walk already features works by artists including Damien Hirst, Abigail Fallis and Martin Creed, and now The Line hopes to add another piece, this one by renowned Irish artist Michael Craig-Martin.

To do so it has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Spacehive for the project, which is called The Square on The Line, and people are encouraged to vote for which sculpture they want to see decorate the banks of the river Lea. The choice is between Craig-Martin’s Hammer (blue), Pitchfork (yellow), and Wheelbarrow (red) sculptures. All are examples of the artist’s powder-coated steel examples, which just outline the shapes of their subjects and look like they’ve been drawn onto the landscape.

Voting for The Square is now open on Artstack.
