Lucia identity, by Supple Studio

Supple Studio has created the branding for new lighting range Lucia, which is being launched by Hector Finch Lighting.

The consultancy says it was briefed to create a brand which had a classic Italian look and a crafted mid-century feel, but also with the flexibility for the range to grow in future to include further lighting products as well as homeware and other stoneware.

Supple founder Jamie Ellul says: “We created a bespoke type treatment that could be used to give every product name a distinct look regardless of the name.

“The resulting type tapers to angles that reflect those of the Lucia shade and is influenced by research into Italian signage from the mid century. Colours used are inspired by the ranges natural hues and metalwork, whilst a three band graphic device is used to echo the proportions of the Italian flag.

Copy and tone of voice is by totalcontent. The range is set to launch at the Top Drawer trade show this month.
