Illustrator Jonny Hannah will be exhibiting a study of independent traders at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park this winter. Hosted in the YSP Centre the show will see three pop-up shops created dedicated to his 2D and 3D works.

The idea is that that the high streets of old will be re-created and to help create this illusion Hannah will hand paint signs and suspended them above the YSP Centre concourse.

Expect linocuts, screenprints, paintings and typographic pieces inspired by 1940s shop signs and posters.

Everything is available to buy, including Heavy Wool Products Come to McVouty’s – a limited edition screenprint printed at The Penfold Press in Selby, created exclusively for YSP – along with his new book Fast Cars and Ukuleles: A Jonny Hannah A to Z.
