Manolo Blahnik Selfridges concession, by Nick Leith-Smith

self

Architect Nick Leigh-Smith and Monolo Blahnik have launched a shoe salon in Selfridges’ Shoe Gallery, central London.

Inspiration for the 70m2 salon, which is on the second floor of the department store, stems from Blahnik’s appreciation of the neoclassical and Georgian architecture found throughout the city of Bath and 18th century architects such as Robert Adams.

The salon is made up of monochrome furnishings, dark wood cabinetry and furniture and brass detailing, with shoes displayed on individual plinths in the display cabinets.
