March of the Misfits, by TADO
Design studio TADO has created 40 wooden characters to form the new March of the Misfits exhibition at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
The exhibition is being put on by Artfelt, the Children’s Hospital Charity’s arts programme, which works to brighten the hospital walls and transform clinical spaces into creative havens.
For the characters, TADO worked with laser-cut wood that was then spray-painted in a variety of bright colours to create layered, 3D artworks.
TADO, said: “We wanted to create something that would be a fun way to fill the large area that was available. We knew it had to be colourful and bold to bring life and positivity to the space.”
The March of the Misfits exhibition will be on public display at the hospital until March 2016.
