National Geographic Infographics, by National Geographic
National Geographic magazine has launched an anthology showcasing infographics from its issues over the last 128 years.
An essay by Nigel Holmes also charts the evolution of National Geographic, which was launched in 1888. It highlights the changing style of illustration, from hand-drawn line drawings to modern, graphic-inspired imagery.
Divided into seven sections – History, The Planet, Being Human, Animal World, World of Plants, Science and Technology and Space – it explores the “ever-expanding study of an ever-expanding universe.”
It also includes five fold-outs inspired by the original pull-outs in the magazines.
