Mickey & Mallory and Mr.M have designed the Shakespeare: Metamorphosis exhibition for University of London and the Senate House Library.

To commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare the Senate House Library has curated an exhibition that shows the metamorphosis that Shakespearean scholarships and texts, as well as perceptions of the man himself have undergone.

Inspired by the ‘seven ages of man’ soliloquy from As You Like It, the Shakespeare: Metamorphosis exhibition traces and explains the 400 year transformation by highlighting and displaying over 30 rare texts from seven significant ages.

Mr M founder Matt Maurer says: “Together we created a concept for the entire exhibition that brought the theme of Metamorphosis to life and included a spectacular art installation on the grand staircase at Senate House.

The exhibition also embraces the digital age with elements of augmented reality, an interactive timeline and a microsite that highlights events and talks happening throughout the Shakespeare: Metamorphosis exhibition.”

The exhibition runs from 14 April–17 September 2016.
