Made In Place has collaborated with The Conran Shop to launch the retailer’s first-ever Selfridges concession.
The new concession takes up 200m2 in the homeware department of Selfridges’ Oxford Street store in London.
The consultancy worked with Mark Upstone from The Conran Shop and developed a design that uses floating units with integrated LED lighting and intricate mitred joints on glass work.
Ken Wingate of Made In Place Design says: “It’s an interpretation of Jasper Conran’s vision. We took some of their existing fixtures, collaborated ideas and evolved these further. We kept it simple and minimal, creating a sophisticated back drop for the product. We paid particular attention to the lighting as that’s very important in any retail environment.”
