The Robin Day 100 Designs poster, by Studio Fernando Gutierrez

Robin Day

The Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation has produced a poster to mark 100 years since the birth of designer Robin Day.

The Robin Day 100 Designs poster, designed by Studio Fernando Gutierrez and produced by twentytwentyone, includes images of 100 designs invented by Robin Day, alongside portraits of the designers. Some of the images have never before been published.

Furniture designer Day designed the seating for the Royal Festival Hall when it opened in 1951, as well as the polypropylene chair in 1963.

The Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation is an organisation devoted to Day and his wife, who was a textile designer. It was set up by their daughter Paula Day in 2012 to give the public access to archived material detailing her parents lives and design work.
