Tube map guitar, by TfL and Fender

Transport for London and Fender has launched a guitar bearing Harry Beck’s iconic 1930s Tube map design.

The Fender Stratocaster guitar has been unveiled at St John’s Wood Tube station by London-based musician, James Black.

The guitar’s launch coincides with TfL and the London Transport Museum’s ‘Transported by Design’ programme – a series of events and exhibitions celebrating good design on London transport.

50 guitars have initially been produced. They cost £599 and are available to order from the London Transport Museum Shop.
