Vinothec Compass, by Kettle Collective

Kettle Collective has designed the Vinothec Compass restaurant as part of a wider project at London’s Greenwich Peninsula Golf Range.

The consultancy says: “We have designed a building which is simple in form but rich in its use of an industrial palette of materials that is appropriate to its current setting.

“As the building has been planned as a temporary installation for 5-10 years the design was developed in accordance with a very limited budget.

“This constraint biased all design investigations towards proposals that created comfortable yet functional spaces that employed industrial materials consistent with the treatment of the exterior. In addition, it also demanded the restaurant interior be kept honest, minimal and lightweight.”
