Vintage Russian Classics collection, by Suzanne Dean

Publisher Vintage’s creative director, Suzanne Dean has designed the covers for its Russian Classics collection, which features six classic Russian books including War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy and Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak.

The designs are based on Russian textile designs from the 19th century and Soviet era, which come from the collection of Susan Mellor, founder of The Design Library in New York.

The collection will be released 5 January 2017.
