Ziggurat Brands and illustrator Leon Geernaert have designed the branding and packaging for a range of sauces by new Korean food company Yogiyo.

Geernaert created the Korean folk art implemented into the design, while Ziggurat Brands developed the packaging for a retail setting.

The consultancy says it has used toned-down colours “inspired by Korean silk” to indicate a premium feel.

Alison Taylor, director at Ziggurat Brands, says: “We have introduced a soft and friendly colour palette, which will resonate with the audience. The new packaging also explains how consumers can use the product, and draws attention to its function as a marinade.”

Yogiyo is a start-up company that has recently received £50,000 of funding after being a successful venture on entrepreneurs’ reality TV show Dragons’ Den.

The sauce range will roll out in Sainsbury’s from October.
