A new public sculpture is set to be installed in Trafalgar Square, London this weekend.

You is a 14.5 metre-long sculpture, designed by Mexican artist José Rivelino Moreno Valle, and will be installed in Trafalgar Square’s King Charles Island on 23 August.

The sculpture is composed of two index fingers identical in weight, colour and size pointing at each other, and aims to encourage viewers to “question their attitude towards the issue of equality between human beings”, the artist says.

It is the first of a series of contemporary Mexican sculptures that will be set up across London throughout September.
