Private investigation into design costs sheds no light

Money talks. And us hacks are always keen to investigate the financial investment that clients make with consultancies. In other words, ‘what’s the fee?’ is a question we like to ask.

This produces much evasion. But few responses are as suspicious as that advanced for the National Criminal Intelligence Service. ‘That is really sensitive information to NCIS, which is a particularly private organisation,’ frets the PR concerned.

Forgive us if we fail to see the connection. Are the Mr Biggs of organised crime bothered about what the super-sleuths spend on design?

Perhaps if we need the lowdown on law enforcement we’d be better off standing outside pubs in Sheffield? See you at David Blunkett’s house party then.
