Future Lab attracts Insect

Insect has created the branding and identity for The Future Laboratory, a trends forecaster that launches in spring.

The three founders of the company come from the worlds of fashion, journalism and advertising and have attempted to draw freelances together from different backgrounds, including writers for The Face and Sleazenation.

Co-founder Sean Pillot de Chenecey believes that there is a gap in the market for a forecaster with a clear understanding of what it takes to deliver a brand.

“We wanted to put together a loose collective of like-minded brand futurists to create forecasts for agencies and brand owners.

“What many agencies tend not to have is people who can give accurate forecasting information on societal shifts,” he adds.

Insect, which was paid £3000 for the work, has designed the logo with inspiration taken from Bauhaus typography and created it in a fluid style to denote the forward movement of forecasting.

It has also created stationery and is in the process of designing a website, a fee for which has yet to be agreed.
