Tony Newton dies

Lackie Newton managing director Tony Newton died suddenly last week at the age of 52 at his home in Edinburgh.

He founded the Edinburgh group in 1989. Under Newton’s guidance, Lackie Newton won several design awards, including a Drum award for stationery design in Glasgow last month.

A colleague says Newton had ‘a real feel for the business and had an involvement in every part of it’.
