Playboys find their natural Habitat

What is Habitat’s head of design, Tom Dixon, up to? According to design group C21, which has developed merchandising materials for the shop’s autumn/winter 2000 season, Habitat is aiming for ‘A touch of Hugh Heffner meets a little bit of James Bond’.

The store has, apparently, rejected matt finishes for a high gloss look, and is taking international playboys as its theme. Do Habitat customers really want to be reminded of what they’re missing while they vegetate on their sofas?
