Zapp recruits Style for its financial client base

Web design consultancy Zapp has appointed Peter Style, former executive director of the British Overseas Trade group for Israel, as non-executive director. He will help to support and develop the group’s work with major financial and commercial clients.

Style held a number of senior management roles at Marks & Spencer before his stint at the Department of Trade and Industry-funded export organisation from 1985-1999. He will work closely with chief executive officer Zak Hydari, advising on Zapp’s ongoing expansion plans.

Following a major private investment last year, the 20-strong London-based design and digital media group, which was launched five years ago, has acquired pharmaceuticals packaging design specialist Kenpharm and established a new base in the City of London. It is also in the process of opening a Paris office, to be called Zapp France.

“Creativity is central to what we do, but first and foremost we’re a business organisation generating effective business solutions for our clients. In that context, I believe Peter has a huge amount to offer,” explains Hydari.

Style says he is “tremendously excited” about his new role. “Zapp has already grown into a multi-resource, cross-discipline organisation, offering comprehensive e-business solutions and forging alliances with some of the leading players in the new economy. We have an additional $5m (£3.4m) of investment capital to draw on and, with the right acquisitions and forward strategy, I can see a very bright future for Zapp.”
