RICS design post for Nell

Former London Transport head of design Christopher Nell has re-emerged after a year to become head of design at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Nell is overseeing the RICS rebrand, including the introduction of a brand identity and signage at its headquarters. He is seeking to double the size of his graphics team as soon as possible.

Tatham Pearce has created the RICS identity, removing the heraldic lion and full name. It replaces it with a pared-down RICS logo to make it more relevant to overseas members, says Nell.

The RICS is restructuring to improve its services and emphasise its global nature.

“The rebrand is at an early stage and reflects the top-to-bottom restructuring at RICS,” says Nell. “The marque will be clearer both here and abroad.”
