Green reports to mushroom

There will be a “massive increase” of work for designers if the European Commission brings in mandatory environmental reporting.

Roger Adams, head of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants’ technical department, says: “There are thoughts that [environmental reporting] could become a mandatory reporting scheme in the future.” And a Labour Government would also consider making environmental reporting mandatory for bigger companies.

The ACCA has just given its Environmental Reporting Award to British Airways for its report designed by Berryman Ball.

Tor Pettersen & Partners’ report for London Electricity was runner-up, and was cited as best designed document. J Sainsbury won best newcomer for its report by Dragon International.
