BG Wildlife Photographer of the Year award

An image of a grey reef shark by German photographer Tobias Bernhard has scooped the BG Wildlife Photographer of the Year award. The competition, run in conjunction with BBC Wildlife Magazine and the Natural History Museum, received about 19 000 entries. Bernhard apparently spent several weeks building a rapport with the shark population in the South Pacific’s Beveridge Reef before taking the photograph.
