Recent work by Ron Arad can still be seen until 12 October. Some of the pieces on display were exhibited at this year’s Milan Furniture Fair in Italy. This tall floor vase was produced for Gallery Mourmans and photographed by Wilhelm Moser.

Furniture/lighting designer and sculptor Ralph Ball exhibits his recent work at Introspective Furniture from 8 October until 15 November.

Venue: Plateaux Gallery, 1 Brewery Square, Tower Bridge Piazza, London SE1.

Addressing the Century: 100 Years of Art & Fashion runs from 8 October until 11 January 1999. The exhibition, which is designed by Zaha Hadid, shows how key figures from the worlds of art and fashion have contributed to some of this century’s most radical visual innovations. Those features include Man Ray, Salvador Dalí and Mary Quant.

Venue: Hayward Gallery, The South Bank Centre, London SE1.

Quirky Works is an exhibition by a trio of idiosyncratic artists – a ceramist and two painters. Work by Jane Muir (whose Artichoke Head sculpture is shown, left), Barry Mickleburgh and Alan Page can be seen from 5-10 October.

Venue: Gallery 27, 27 Cork Street, London W1.

Artwork from The White Elephant Cookbook shows work donated 25 years ago by the day’s distinguished designers, illustrators and photographers to accompany a compilation of celebrities’ favourite recipes. The exhibition runs until 28 October when there will be an auction to raise funds for charity.
