Falmouth plays host to Cornwall Design Week

The inaugural Cornwall Design Week launches later this month, in an effort to raise the profile of design in the region.

The three-day event, from 21-23 September, will be based at the University of Falmouth and is being organised by the Cornwall Design Forum, which was set up last year to help the creative industries in and around the county (DW 4 November 2004).

Helen Blake, chairman of the CDF and director of Absolute Design, says the event will try to cover all disciplines of the design industry and ‘show people they don’t have to go to London for a designer’.
