A How Lucky We Are portrait

How Lucky We Are has just opened at The Chapel Gallery, charting the progress of the Families for Children Orphanage in Dhaka, Bangladesh, as seen through the lens of photographer Ian Spratt. The exhibition documents life at the orphanage in 1986, and returns a decade on to reveal what has happened to the children featured in the original series of pictures.

More lighthearted is an exhibition of photographic images documenting life in the circus ring over the past 25 years. Peter Lavery: Circus Work opens today at The Royal Photographic Society’s Octagon Galleries in Bath. Until Sunday 1 June.
